    Job Description

    PLANT CONTROLLER – GRAFTON, MA - STARTING AT $150K 

    Mount Kemble Search Group is working with a global, aviation and automotive manufacturer who are looking for a PLANT CONTROLLER to join our team.  The purpose of this position is to provide financial and accounting oversight at the plant level within the Company’s organizational structure.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Insure that financial statements and information comply with generally accepted accounting principles and SEC rules and regulations.
    • Develop, implement and insure compliance with accounting and internal control systems which are designed to provide assurance that assets are safeguarded from loss or unauthorized use and to produce records adequate for preparation for financial information.
    • Insure that adequate controls are in place, that they are being performed as intended, and that failures are investigated and remedied in a timely fashion.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement of financial performance in accordance with corporate objectives, and communicate and pursue such opportunities.
    • Provide management and coordination of the budgeting and planning process.

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • B.S. in Accounting or Finance/ MBA preferred.                  
    • CPA is a plus.
    • 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, and management positions in industry.
    • Experience with SEC regulations and filings.
    • Expertise in technical accounting.
    • General management or operational experience helpful.
    • General knowledge of income tax regulations.
    • Expertise in budgeting and planning.
    • Expertise in internal control.
    • Ability to assess risks and balance costs with benefits.
    • Appreciation of economy and efficiency.
