JOB TITLE – CONTENT EDITOR-REMOTE
SUMMARY: We are looking for a Content Editor responsible for creating and editing digital contents for use across our ecommerce and social media platforms.
THIS IS A REMOTE CONTRACT POSITION.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Edit various branded contents including website copy, blog posts, digital marketing collaterals, social media posts and assorted other corporate communication items.
Ensure all submitted copy is with impeccable language, in proper formatting and style, optimized for the target audience and devoid of grammatical, syntactical, and other errors.
Ensure structural editing, copy editing and final proof-reading of contents.
Ensure all provided content in SEO optimized prior to publication.
Provide attractive and engaging content optimized for various target segments.
Curate all digital media content to conform to the organizational style guide and brand book. Ensure consistency of messaging across channels.
Curate focussed content for use in the company's social media accounts across platforms.
Work closely with different stakeholders for brainstorming and storyboarding of contents.
File and index all organizational content assets in easy retrievable repositories.
Keep up to date with evolving trends. Research new approaches to generate content.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required
2+ years of digital content editing experience.
Excellent command of English with immaculate vocabulary and grammar.
Excellent writing, editing, and engaging storytelling skills.
Experience in editing SEO optimized content.
Advanced knowledge of WordPress and tools like Grammarly, Hemmingway, WordRake, StackEdit, Copyscape etc.
Working knowledge of Google analytics and digital advertisement best practices.
High level of attention to detail, creativity, and structured approach.
Superior time management and prioritization skills.
Strong inter-personal skills. Excellent communication skills.
Result oriented, motivated, self-starter attitude. Strong personal and work ethics.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, liberal arts or relevant field; can be offset by extensive experience in similar role.
Preferred
Prior experience with eCommerce retailers preferred.
Prior experience in the Cosmetic & Beauty industry a big plus.
