Precision Assist is looking to hire both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in Dallas Fort Worth, TX with 1+ years of surgical experience to join our team (Spine/Neuro/Ortho experience preferred).<br /></p><p><strong>WHO IS PRECISION ASSIST?</strong><br /></p><p>Precision Assist specializes in assisting surgeons both in and out of the operating room, providing the highest level of surgical expertise and clinical excellence to ensure the best outcomes possible. We are committed to quickly becoming the preeminent provider of surgical assists.<br /></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Must</strong> have experience working as a first assist</li><li>Primary role is to perform first assist duties in surgery</li><li>Ability to render emergency care on operating patients</li><li>Perform a pre-op exam and correlate symptoms to procedure and diagnosis</li><li>Ability to talk to patients in pre-op and answer any questions about the surgery as well as explain your involvement</li><li>Perform comprehensive and problem-focused patient histories to ensure there are no special requirements for surgery</li><li>Aid operating surgeon/facility staff with any pre-op preferences including but not limited to radiographic studies set-up, instrumentation set-up, and patient positioning</li><li>Transfer/escort patients back to PACU and assess post-op condition, ensure there are no complications and that the procedure was successful</li><li>Assist with any clinical/management projects for the betterment of your territory/team</li></ul><p><strong>Education/Training:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office, Diagnostic imaging systems, and EMR</li><li>Must be a graduate of an Accredited Master’s Degree program for Physician Assistant Studies for PAs, or a Master/Doctoral Degree Program in Nurse Practitioner Studies for NPs</li><li>Must possess current state license where practicing and PAs must hold National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)</li><li>At least one year of surgical experience required</li><li>Background in any one of the following specialties is preferred: Spine, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Cardiothoracic and/or OBGYN</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><p>Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodations, including but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Willingness to expand current surgical expertise and learn how to assist on different specialties</li><li>Provide health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of physician including assessing and educating patients</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong organization and documentation skills</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p>Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodations, including but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Ability to lift, sit, stand, or squat</li><li>Constantly seeing, hearing, and speaking</li><li>Frequent lifting to 20+ lbs. in addition to bending, reaching, standing, walking, and kneeling</li><li>Frequent pre-op and post-op patient positioning</li></ul><p>IND123</p>
