  • Responsibilities

    The Talend Developer will focus on acquiring and sending data from/to external and internal sources, transforming it, and loading it to a database. This position will be responsible for configuring the tool and environment, developing, testing, and implementing processes related to data acquisition/transfer, integration, management, and support. Experience deploying and managing data in an Azure environment is a huge plus.

    Primary Duties:

    • Design and build environments and processes to acquire data from Healthcare clients/vendors in a secure and efficient manner, using Talend
    • Set up processes to acquire data in structured/semi-structured format, and implement tools/processes to consume data received, as a batch process or real-time
    • Analyze data, design and build database tables to capture all data elements, and load data, while maintaining data lineage and operational tracking.
    • Use APIs to extract or send data from/to vendors such as Salesforce
    • Continuously optimize, enhance, monitor, support and maintain all data integration processes.
    • Provide assistance to external users on setting up processes to extract and deliver data for consumption.
    • Maintain documentation, manage source code and deployments, and implement best-practices
    • Manage delivery in agile and DevOps environments
    • Coordinate and collaborate closely with other developers, and ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
    • Focus on streamlining and improving data integration efficiencies, reducing effort related to development and support, while providing security, flexibility, and scalability
    • Work closely with analysts and other developers to build data warehouses and optimize processes
    • Research and evaluate new tools/features in Talend and Azure (ADF, Data Lake, Polybase, etc.) and assist in Proof of Concepts

    Experience:

    • 3+ years using Talend with experience in all relevant areas listed above
    • 1+ experience with Relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server
    • Working in an agile/DevOps environment
    • Azure / Azure Data Factory experience is a highly preferred
    • Experience using Talend to process Healthcare EDI files (HL7, X12) is a huge plus

    Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience
    • Knowledge of other Azure components is a huge plus
    • Very strong technical knowledge with excellent analytical skills
    • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with different groups effectively to accomplish business objectives
    • Takes initiative, and is able to manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner
