    We are now looking to hire a driven, sales, and business & customer service minded Field Service Manager for Electrical Residential Service. The Field Service Manager instrumental in continuing building up and driving growth of the business and its operations. The successful candidate is a leader, a role model service professional and team player capable of training and supervising technicians, apprentices and journeymen on the team. You are focused, responsible and self-motivated. You are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and earn the trust of your team and clients.     The Field Service Manager will provide technical and administrative supervision of the employees. Her/she will oversee each technician’s goals, closing ratios, training, discipline, and needs to ensure Mr. Electric’s best interests and standards are top priority with every employee. They will also establish a system to ensure each technician is maintaining the company’s professionalism, by following our C.U.S.T.O.M.E.R system on each job.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    Lead the day to day field operations according to business plan and Mr Electric’s business system, customer service management system, quality system and code of values. To follow the system, train staff and walk the talk is critical for the success of the overall business.

    Screen, interview, hire, train, lead, supervise, support and coach the growing team of electricians and service professionals on the team.

    Lead by example and be effective at setting goals, follow-up on progress and key business metrics, and coach when needed.

    Ensure the highest standards of customer service and quality of work is maintained.

    Identify technical training needs of staff, provide on-the-job training and arrange formal classroom training as needed.

    Ensure that adequate inventory levels are maintained.

    Ride along with each of the field electricians periodically to ensure consistency and quality is maintained, and address or stop negative trends early.

    Carry our service calls covering 1-2 days per week:

    Install, maintain, and repair existing equipment.

    Determine condition of electrical equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and determine needed repairs.

    Identify materials and quantities needed for new and repair projects.

    Evaluate customer requests and provide work order descriptions and price projects.

    Follow established processes and procedures.

    Operate with safety as a primary concern for self and customer.

    Job Requirements:

    Licensed Electrician in state of North Carolina.

    Preference is three years of working experience as a licensed electrician in North Carolina.

    Minimum of five years of experience in a manager/supervisor role in an electrical residential service organization.

    Minimum of 8 years of working experience as residential service electrician.

    Must have strong leadership and management skills; to demonstrate successful leadership experience from an electrical residential service business.

    Good business understanding and skills, to have a business mindset and with a positive can-do attitude.

    Result oriented, strategic and structured approach. Strong organizational skills.

    Strong interpersonal skills both in-person and on the phone. Strong problem solving capabilities.

    Strong communicator both in written and verbal, and both internally and externally. Fluent in English both written and spoken.

    Proficient in navigating modern digital working tools, of which many are tablet based at Mr Electric, and have a good understanding of the dynamics and impact of social media and online presence to business and business growth. Mr Electric has a fully digital modern / online business system to manage day to day operations (without need of physical papers & signatures).
