The Plumber's Apprentice is a key member of our team who assists our licensed plumbers in the field, performing service work on plumbing systems in residential and commercial environments. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.
Ideally you have prior experience in the plumbing industry and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist our licensed Plumbers with performing drain cleaning services on plumbing systems
Assist our licensed Plumbers with minor to moderately complex service work on plumbing systems
Work with blueprints and job specifications as it applies to the craft
Correctly identify and accurately record proper plumbing materials and quantities for new and existing projects
Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
Learn the Mr. Rooter Sales System while receiving on-the-job experience and earning your hours to become a Licensed Plumber in Texas
Job Requirements:
MUST be Registered with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) as a Licensed Plumber's Apprentice
One year of plumbing experience preferred, but not required
Must possess a valid Driver's License and have dependable transportation to and from work
Must possess ability to operate basic hand tools necessary for the craft
Must possess ability to identify and accurately record proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
Attention to detail is a must!
Basic knowledge of technology such as computer software, iPads, sewer machines, sewer cameras, pinpointing devices, etc.
Excellent communication skills
Professional appearance and personality
Must be prompt and have good attendance
Must have availability to work weekends as needed (on a calendar rotation)
