    XEROX Rotational Internship San Diego, CA, USA Other Our internship program is designed to provide aspiring business professionals with a day-to-day experience of how a business works. We allow our intern(s) to work in various departments through a rotational program in our Accounting/Operations, Customer Service, IT, HR and Sales departments in a professional business organization. You will learn about emerging business technologies, time management, and acquire invaluable business skills that will put you on a proven road map for a successful career in business and give you real world experience. The intern will choose 1 Department as their main area of interest and work primarily with that Department on more in depth projects. However, they will also have the option to rotate through the other departments in order to gain exposure and understanding of how each department functions and how they contribute to the organization as a whole. Our program provides students practical skills through hands-on assignments working with talented professionals who are willing to share their knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to work in the following areas: Project Management and Marketing (SD): This exciting position entails collaborating with the Vice President of Sales in managing selected projects that drive MRC business. The intern's projects will include product research, incentive rollouts, and marketing strategy. In addition, the intern will engage in technical tasks involving analytics and tracking. Successful completion of this internship will require strong organizational and analytic skills, as well as knowledge and experience in marketing and/or project management. Customer Service (SD): Interns will assist in the customer service area with projects including client contact in regards to meter reads. Intern may go out to the field with the service technicians, assist in client relations, assist trainers, and inventory department in order to provide excellent customer service and learn about the supply chain management. Accounting/Operations (SD): Intern will have an opportunity to understand the Accounting side of the business, as well as some post of sale operations. Will assist our AP staff, make follow up phone calls in regards to AR, and assist with accounting analysis. Interns will be exposed to various accounting processes and gain a holistic view of the accounting department. Will possibly have the opportunity to shadow contracts and learn the different process of the department. Interns may also assist the operations team and learn the process of financing a deal. Human Resources/Training (SD): Will help the HR director with employee communications, the station intern program, staffing and assisting with employee relations projects. Intern will also assist with special projects including some employee event planning, researching especial circumstances and understanding the complexities of California employment law. Interns with an affinity in HR may also complete a full recruitment cycle for the next class of interns. This will include creating and setting up job posting, sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, gathering appropriate documentation and finally, recommending for hire a new batch of interns. Interns will gain a holistic view of the HR processes by using hands-on experience of projects. Sales/Marketing (SD): Interns will accompany our sales professionals in the field, learn basic prospecting techniques over the phone, assist in the creation of sales presentation materials, attend sales meetings, and conduct research for a potential client. Will learn to navigate our sales database and input competitive information. In addition, interns may be called on to assist in telemarketing sales which will include client contact and learning the sales process and cycle. Information Technology (SD): Interns will work hands on with IT equipment and learn skills in network engineering, document solutions engineering, and general IT activities. Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office applications, basic TCP/IP Networking, and Networking components. Interns will work with various departments and may be asked to assist in the marketing department with data analysis. Qualifications: Currently enrolled at an accredited college, university or technical school. Internships are unpaid, therefore, students must earn college credit. Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours/week during the academic year. Must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
