    STORE MANAGER

    A Mud Bay Store Manager is a powerful role model that supports multiple teams with integrity and responsibility while working towards taking on their own store. They hold a focus on success while providing insight for development and growth to Mud Bay staff, leaders, and the whole of the company, helping to shape Mud Bay’s future with a well-rounded approach. _ Store Managers work towards taking on their own store by collaborating and training with multiple leaders at multiple store locations to develop a well-rounded approach to Mud Bay’s Leadership._

    • Ensure all team members are fully trained to provide holistic solutions that promote long-term health for dogs and cats while building long lasting relationships with customers

    • Provide the next generation of Mud Bay Leaders by identifying, recruiting, and hiring excellent candidates

    • Embrace team member’s individuality and able to adjust approach to meet the needs of their team members
    • Inspire self-development in others by accurately assessing performance and abilities to provide productive and honest feedback
    • Lead, train and work with team by holding them accountable to uphold the cleanliness, organization and attractiveness of the store
    • Perform transactions at the point of sale, cash handling and other financial procedures accurately and efficiently with scrupulous attention to detail
    • Communicate with team, peers, and District Manager frequently to provide useful information ensuring the growth of the team’s abilities, performance and needs
    • Consider and anticipate the needs of the store and the team with flexibility and strategic thinking while reflecting the values and character of Mud Bay
    • Internalize all feedback from peers, team members, and supervisors to generate self-growth and innovation
    • Build community relationships with shelter partnerships, events, etc.
    • Flexibility in supporting other stores and leaders.
    • Flexible in location – needs to be available to work in multiple locations
    • Ready to run a store in 3-6 months

     

    Wage Range begins at $47,288 DOQ

    Required Skills

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Experienced manager with 6+ years of proven leadership in a service-oriented environment
    • Experience leading a team required
    • Flexibility in location and schedule
    • Responsible for leading a shift while training
    • Ability to lift to 45 pounds
    • Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators and 10-keys
    • Has a passion to continuously learn about dogs, cats and small animals
    • Instinctively gracious: genuinely enjoys making others feel welcome
    • Highly accountable: follows through on commitments
    • Has integrity: says and does what she or he believes to be right
    • Has good judgment: makes rational, ethical decisions aimed toward long-term goals and outcomes
    • A self-starter, but happy to take direction and learn from others
    • A team player: contributes to the happiness and effectiveness of co-workers
    • Has the flexibility to adapt to a work schedule that reflects the needs of customers, coworkers and Mud Bay
