  • Responsibilities

    Our firm is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer, to work on a wide range of residential single-family, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. This person will work directly with the Principal, assisting with conceptual design, assemble quality presentation drawings, and prepare construction drawings. Our ideal candidate has 6+ years of US architectural drafting and design experience. Responsibilities: • Produce concepts, layouts, renderings, and sketches that reflect the brief, for the design architect and project stakeholders • Work with the client to develop design solutions to be considered for approval or improvement • Gather necessary information to perform dimensional and routine calculations for drawings and design layouts • Ensure that all layouts and technical drawings meet the required building codes and standards • Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and other CAD drawings from existing documents, and/or field measurements and photos • Prepare site plans based on a survey of the property, documenting details and applying MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler) information • Conduct occasional on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans, and refine the technical drawing based on comments from the design architect, project manager, and clients Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture • 6+ YEARS OF US ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING AND DESIGN EXPERIENCE • Highly attentive to details, accuracy, and visual aesthetic • Knowledge of New Jersey state code and zoning regulations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and consultants • Ability to work independently on multiple projects at a time while keeping up with tight schedules. • Work independently to the firm’s CAD standards • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD. Proficiency with REVIT and SketchUp is a plus • Proficiency with MS Office software Compensation: $65,000 yearly
