Seeking an experienced legal secretary for Partner of defense law firm. Candidate should have strong secretarial skills. Experience processing Answers and third-party summons and complaints. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to learn quickly and work independently. Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
· Must have 2+ years litigation experience involving insurance defense
· Must have prior experience with court procedures including State and Federal e-filing
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Must be able to multitask
· Manage a variety of demands in a fast-paced setting
· Strong written and verbal communication skill
· Must be proactive
· Open to taking on new responsibilities
· Excellent typing skills
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
· Attention to detail in all aspects of job including formatting of documents
· Prepare court documents such as third-party summons and complaint and answers
· Open and diary new matters
· Ability to organize and manage documents in both electronic and paper files
· Maintain attorney calendar
· Exceptional follow up skills regarding matters on diary
· Must be able to transcribe dictation
