Multi-Bakery Trainer
Reports to: Owner / Director of Operations Supports: Bakery Managers, Shift Leaders, FOH & BOH Teams Locations: Sterling Heights, Grosse Pointe, Allen Park, Ann Arbor.
Role Summary
The Multi-Bakery Trainer is a hands-on, people-first role focused on building strong, consistent teams across multiple bakery locations. You'll work side-by-side with our teams daily — training new hires, reinforcing standards, coaching leaders, and helping shape a culture where people feel supported and held accountable.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves people, knows bakery operations, and is ready to grow into a key leadership support role. You don't need years of corporate training experience — you need passion, strong communication, and a genuine desire to help people succeed.
What You'll Do
Training & Development
Deliver hands-on onboarding and ongoing training for FOH and BOH team members
Reinforce brand standards, food safety, quality control, and guest experience expectations
Support rollout of new processes, promotions, and operational changes
Help create and improve training materials like checklists, guides, and job aids
Identify training gaps and bring solutions to leadership
Leadership Coaching
Work alongside shift leaders and managers to model effective leadership on the floor
Help leaders communicate expectations clearly and give real-time feedback
Support leaders through difficult conversations and coaching moments
Reinforce consistent leadership behavior across all locations
Operational Consistency
Observe daily operations and provide clear, constructive feedback
Ensure teams are executing quality standards, food safety, service flow, and cash handling correctly
Support waste reduction through training and process reinforcement
Assist with audits and operational reviews
Hiring Support
Conduct in-person interviews for bakery roles as needed
Assess candidates for skill level, culture fit, and role alignment
Share hiring recommendations with ownership and leadership
Culture & Communication
Champion a respectful, accountable, and team-oriented bakery culture
Help teams understand the "why" behind standards — not just the "what"
Document training progress, follow-up needs, and location-specific challenges
Communicate clearly and regularly with ownership and leadership
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment — FOH, BOH, or both
A natural people person who earns trust quickly and communicates with warmth and directness
Someone who leads by example and takes pride in doing things the right way
Basic comfort with interviews and evaluating whether someone is a good fit
Organized, dependable, and able to follow through without being micromanaged
Willing to travel between locations regularly
No formal training or HR experience required — we'll teach you our systems
You'll Thrive Here If You...
Care deeply about people and love helping others grow
Are calm and solutions-focused when things get busy or messy
Notice the details others miss — and say something about it
Want to grow within a company that's building something real
Believe culture and accountability aren't opposites — they go hand in hand
What Success Looks Like in Year One
Teams across locations are better trained, more confident, and more consistent
Leaders are coaching daily instead of avoiding hard conversations
Fewer repeated mistakes and quality gaps
Stronger team morale and a shared sense of standards
You've grown into a trusted, go-to resource for managers and ownership
