    WHAT IS BREAKR?

    BREAKr is a pre-seed, a16z backed, tech-enabled music promotion marketplace connecting DJ’s and Influencers to Artists to facilitate the breaking of new music across all digital music promotion outlets (e.g., Twitch, IG, SNAP, YouTube, Streaming Playlists, Tik Tok, etc.)  There are ~20mm emerging artists around the world generating ~40,000+ songs a day, suffering from extreme content saturation. This environment makes generating consumer and label awareness a gargantuan task for new artists.  At the same time, there are 157 million mid-tier to micro-influencers who are not currently organized as a collective to facilitate the breaking of new music digitally.

    New artists have shifted from getting noticed in night clubs, or on traditional radio, to getting noticed on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify. With the rise of social media, the industry is in the process of adapting, but even with the $1.7 billion spent on digital marketing, best practices to help artists engage with fans while driving a measurable return on investment have yet to emerge. In this new normal, the social media influencer is as real in this space as the recommendation engines of the past. BREAKr serves as an aggregator of these digital assets across all platforms, to make the search and discovery of influencers willing to promote music centralized and easy to access. 

    We are looking for a Digital Community Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing marketing policies and programs, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase brand awareness.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Digital Marketplace Manager is responsible for supporting the BREAKr brand to drive significant revenue growth for the artist and influencer marketplace, BREAKr Select (white glove program with the elite artists and influencers in-app), and additional analytical and relationship support for the overall business need. This employee leads the marketplace engagement strategy and spend, revenue forecasting, marketplace optimization, product gap analysis, competitive analysis, vendor/agency management, actionable insights based on analytics, leadership reporting, pricing, and cost/benefit analysis for any relevant opportunity.

    REPORTING:

    This person will report directly to the President, Inventor, and CTO of Breakr! This role will be highly visible and will have major growth opportunities as the business expands.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops strategic plans to drive revenue growth in our digital wholesale accounts (e.g. Record Labels, Influencer Marketing Agencies, etc.).Manages the marketplace for product errors, alerts, questions, and inquiries and resolves with a high sense of urgency.
    • Initiates, documents and executes changes through marketplace case/ticket management.
    • Works closely with influencers to optimize campaign creation, and creates strategies to drive successful interactions between artists and influencers.
    • Develops revenue growth strategies, including pricing, mix assortment, promotion, refresh strategies and overall site functionality.
    • Forges relationships both internally and externally to support the marketplace.
    • Leads content enhancement and optimizes web presence.
    • Leverages data and insights to deploy transaction enhancement tactics, driving traffic and conversion rates in-app. 
    • Leverages business analytics to maximize sales and profit performance.
    • Pulls and analyzes reports from different platforms, presents findings, and provides recommendations for areas of growth and opportunity.
    • Drives forecasting with executive team and 3rd party partners.
    • Develops seasonal financial plans to achieve quarterly and annual objectives.
    • Communicates key information to leadership, including sell through, margin, and strategic business updates.
    • Leads collaboration with the CPO/CTO to curate and deliver the right product features set to influencers, labels, and brands.
    • Works with internal marketing teams and/or external agencies to optimize influencer campaign pages (A+ content, keywords, video, images).
    • Identifies marketplace issues and root causes, making recommendations for improvements.
    • Works with CMO and/or external agencies to maximize performance.
    • Supports brand expansion to additional marketplaces.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Previous experience in marketing or other related fields
    • Experience in a managerial role
    • Strong project management skills
    • Strong leadership qualities
