    Reports to: Store Manager

    The Store Protection Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and customer-focused environment by protecting customers, team members, and company assets while delivering exceptional service.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Welcome customers and visitors with a prompt, polite, and friendly greeting to create a positive first impression.
    • Manage and direct traffic flow during busy periods to ensure safe and efficient entry and exit.
    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to deliver consistently excellent customer service.
    • Enforce company policies and safety procedures, particularly those related to customer interactions and store security.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior aligned with the company’s values, vision, and mission.
    • Verify that a manager or supervisor checks all team members’ bags upon exiting the building, following the company’s clear bag policy.
    • Ensure that customers do not bring large bags or backpacks into the store.
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members to provide consistently excellent customer service.
    • Support or lead interactions with customers suspected of shoplifting, in accordance with company shoplifting policies.
    • Conduct regular floor walks to ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, and company assets.
    • Maintain a visible presence near the store entrance to promote customer service and deter theft or unsafe behavior.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.
    • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in multiple languages if applicable.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle difficult situations with patience and grace.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain an orderly entrance area.
    • Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a positive attitude towards customer service.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
