Do you teach Keyboard? Perhaps Vocals, Drums, Guitar, and/or Bass too (especially Vocals)? We're seeking an experienced music instructor who is friendly, enthusiastic about music education, and enjoys working with both children and adults. All of our teachers are working musicians and/or music students, and absolutely love what they do. In particular, we are looking for an instructor who can work 2-3 days per week, including either a Saturday or a Sunday.
School of Rock is the original performance-based, interactive music school founded in 1998 in Philadelphia. With over 400 schools internationally and a strong, internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest provider of after-school music education. Our mission is to help kids rock their worlds, on and off the stage.
Our school is located in Terra Linda and serves a fantastic community of over 300 students. We combine weekly lessons with directed band rehearsals and teach through the live shows we present six times a year. Our working environment is well-organized, well-equipped, and fun. We love what we do, and it's extremely rewarding!
Working at School of Rock simplifies the lesson process. All lesson scheduling and client communications are handled by our front desk staff, and all gear and teaching spaces are set up for you. All you have to do is show up on time and teach!
Benefits of working with us include:
Accrued paid sick and vacation time
Matching retirement plan
Life, Dental, and Vision insurance (depending on weekly scheduled hours)
Flexibility
Engaged Students (including adults)
A fully equipped workplace with a great staff kitchen (free food!)
Super cool coworkers, who love what they do and support each other ;-)
Rewarding work that feels like play
