We are seeking a passionate, creative, and nurturing Music Instructor to join our school. The ideal candidate will introduce young children (ages weeks to 6 years) to the joy of music through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster creativity, coordination, social skills, and early cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and lead interactive music classes for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children
Teach foundational musical concepts including rhythm, melody, tempo, and movement
Incorporate singing, instruments, storytelling, and movement into lessons
Encourage participation, self-expression, and confidence in young learners
Adapt lessons to accommodate varying developmental levels and learning styles
Maintain classroom instruments and materials in safe, clean condition
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into broader curriculum themes
Prepare children for informal performances or family showcases (if applicable)
Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and activities
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
Experience teaching music to young children (infant–5 years preferred)
Strong vocal skills and basic proficiency with instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, percussion)
Knowledge of child development principles
Energetic, patient, and engaging personality
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Background check clearance
