Music Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards, New York, NY Pay: $25-$26 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an energetic and creative Music Teacher who loves introducing young children to the joy of music.

You'll create engaging, age-appropriate music experiences for young learners through singing, rhythm, movement, instruments, and interactive activities. This role is perfect for someone who can bring energy into a classroom and make music exciting and accessible for children at every developmental stage.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engaging music experiences for young children

Introduce rhythm, melody, movement, singing, and age-appropriate instruments

Create interactive music activities for different ages and developmental levels

Use music and movement to support language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional development

Encourage creativity, participation, self-expression, and confidence

Incorporate music into classroom themes and learning experiences

Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership

Prepare and organize materials and instruments for activities

Maintain a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment

Follow applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Music background, training, or relevant experience strongly preferred

Previous experience teaching music or working with children preferred

Comfortable singing, leading movement, and engaging groups of young children

Experience with musical instruments is a plus

Preschool, daycare, enrichment, or early childhood experience is a plus

Creative, enthusiastic, dependable, and comfortable performing in front of groups

Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
