COMPANY DESCRIPTION Musicians Institute is an exciting, contemporary school of music located in Hollywood California. We prepare our students for careers in the music industry as recording artists, performers, sound engineers, promoters and managers! JOB DESCRIPTION We have a career opportunity for an experienced Admissions Advisor to recruit and interview potential students into a variety of music-related programs. The qualified candidate must have strong Admissions experience, making heavy outbound phone calls and consistently meeting sales goals. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required. Typical duties include: * Qualifying applicants through telephone contact and (face-to-face) personal interviews to determine motivation, interest, effort and ability to qualify for various programs. * Following up on leads and inquiries. * Finding creative methods to locate new leads. * Meeting and exceeding established admissions goals under stringent deadlines. * Quote prices, terms, and conditions and only make representations concerning programs, quality, capacity and other educational particulars as set forth by the school. * Participating in admissions related recruiting events such as: student orientation, open house events, admissions workshops and outreach events. * Demonstrating knowledge of the programs offered by Musicians Institute and required to recruit for the following types of prospective students: Domestic students, international students, correspondence students, high school students, VA students, and under classmen students. * Assisting prospects with the application process. * Guiding applicants through the start of school and serve as an advocate for prospective students * Ensuring that students complete required admissions documents and following up with applicants through the enrollment completion process. Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Previous background in Admissions Sales is required. * Strong experience making outbound sales phone calls and generating leads * Ability to display enthusiasm and interact with people in a positive manner. * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Highly collaborative, curious, creative and team focused. * Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as a capacity for learning new computer skills/programs Level of Education and Experience. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
