PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Intern is responsible for marketing, and executing marketing initiatives for campaigns, programs, and events for the Greater Los Angeles Chapter. The Intern will perform activities within his or her area of specialty. As a team member, the Intern will work with fellow interns under the guidance of more senior staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and advertising team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. You will gain a broad experience and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities
Other Internship Tracks Marketing and Design Responsibilities · Create signage, newsletters, email campaigns, online promotions, etc. · Provide support to social media efforts to target new audiences. · Assist with special events to promote brand and increase attendance. · Research and identify opportunities to optimize content based social media advertisement. · Implement of a wide variety of design aesthetics and techniques. · Demonstrated ability to create dynamic design elements across a wide array of styles. · Ability to adapt design style and sensibility to the specific media form. · Ability to be a proactive contributor to the creative process from the beginning of a project through delivery. Program Development Responsibilities · Participate in and oversee Youth Council volunteers. · Create new events and initiatives to serve Greater Los Angeles Area. · Assist in coordination of monthly events and programs. · Develop and implement a strategies to raise funds for MAS Greater Los Angeles · Support MAS Greater Los Angeles staff in program efforts for volunteer retention and recognitions · Research new online resources, community boards, speaking opportunities, and outreach events to enhance recruitment efforts. · Develop and maintain relationships with service-focused nonprofits and community groups Requirements · Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. · Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential. · Ability to work as part of a small team on both short term and long term projects · Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable. Youth Leadership Responsibilities · Plan and implement program monthly goals and objectives; · Assist to ensure the provision of age appropriate activities and events for participants. · Coordinate activities to meet the developmental needs and interests children in youth development programs. · Develop lesson plans for enrichment activities during Revive program. · Supervise youth that attend programs, ensuring their guidance and safety. · Coordinate weekly program operations including daily set up, youth supervision, program planning and site maintenance. · Communicate in a positive and effective manner with all participants, mosque officials, parents, and community members. · Create monthly community events for our two sites. Social Justice Responsibilities Under MAS PACE Director, the C.E. Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are: • Manage the development and implementation of civic and voter engagement programs. • Advocate for public policy reform on a local and national level. • Development and implementation of campaign-building strategies. • Work closely with PACE’s partner organizations to plan and implement joint events and forums. • Day-to-day maintenance of PACE’s social media account activities. • Plan events, workshops, and seminars as assigned. • Assist in recruiting and supervising volunteers.
