If you have experience installing or servicing beer, wine, or coffee systems and have a driver's license with a good record, we want to speak with you.

    My Beer Guy is the fastest growing, beer, wine, and coffee draft dispense service company in Illinois and Indiana. We install and service draft beer systems for restaurants, nightclubs, bars, stadiums, country clubs, and private individuals. Our service, installation, and refrigeration team have a combined experience of over 80 years, and we've been serving the Illinois and Indiana area since 2005.

    As a Draft Service and Installation Technician, you will work full-time (40+/- hours per week) servicing and installing various draft dispense systems at customer locations and be available to work "on call" during non-scheduled hours (nights, weekends). You may work as part of a team or on your own, depending on the size of the job and your abilities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receive and respond to service calls from customers.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnosis issues with draft systems by phone or onsite.
    • Perform maintenance and repairs.
    • Deliver and install parts and supplies to customers as required.
    • Clean draft lines in accordance with MBG guidelines.
    • Educate customers on the use of their draft system as needed.
    • Install draft systems including all necessary duties from pulling trunk line to balancing the system upon completion.
    • Communicate with general contractors.
    • Install and service glycol units.
    • Perform start up duties with customers.
    • Effectively manage all equipment to include care, maintenance and inventory of assigned equipment and tools.
    • Attend schools and participate in training programs as required.
    • Refurbish used equipment for resale or repurposing.
    • Ensure that all service work and installations are completed to the highest possible standards.
    • Conduct training of employees when needed.
    • Manage company vehicle in accordance with My Beer Guy policy.
    • Complete the required administrative tasks, timesheets, miles report, service logs, and the like in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain high levels of communication with the office on any updates, status, issues, etc.
    • Report to office as necessary.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 2 plus years experience as service technician/installer or similar fields of work.
    • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license with a DWO/OWI free driving record.
    • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without assistance; up to 150 pounds with assistance.
    • Ability to bend and twist up to 60% of the day.
    • Ability to sit or stand for at least 60 minutes.
    • Regional travel required.

    • Independent and reliable person who can effectively manage a service route and schedule.
    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Mechanically inclined individual who can learn, retain, and utilize product specific information quickly.
    • Ability to adhere to outlined processes, procedures, guidelines and checklists.
    • Working knowledge of construction sites, blueprints and sight surveys.

    COMPENSATION

    • $16-$19/hour subcontractor position.
    • We will provide uniforms, tools, a company car, and a gas card.
    • We do not currently offer health benefits.
