    Job Title Business analyst Duration 12+ months Location Pierre,SD Specific Dutiesies Lead requirements gathering meetings with the client, translating business needs into user stories containing high-quality technical and system requirements that can be developed in a sprint Facilitate project meetings or presentations to diverse audiences that may include project management, technical staff, and other project stakeholders Communicate effectively and frequently with the project team, clients, and project stakeholders using Microsoft Teams, meetings, emails, and other forms of communication Manage customer relationships, expectations, needs, and strategies to support and align efforts to meet Adhere to project specific processes for gathering and documenting requirements, and obtaining client development approval Lead or participate in sessions where requirements are verified with the project team, client, and other end users for approvalacceptance of requirements deliverables As a member of the project's technical team, participate in reviews of other technical deliverables Create, design, and execute high-quality reusable test scripts and test plans for Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing to ensure that business requirements are met Utilize the Azure DevOps platform for documenting, tracking, and prioritizing all project related work, tasks, and documentation Adhere to the Scrum methodology and follow SDLC processes in accordance with established project development procedures and processes Manage project scope, or MVP, to ensure efficient on-time delivery of project tasks, deliverables, and milestones Provide leadership to team members and peers through collaboration, articulating ideas, and proposing process improvements to project leadership and within the project team Provide support for the implementation of business solutions Qulifications Strong project management and client management skills - ability to manage multiple tasks at any given point, and excellent relationship building and communication skills, written and verbal Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to elicit relevant, high-quality technical and system requirements Techno-Functional background and understanding of System Interface Architecture, Integration, Data Analysis, and APIs Experience creating and executing Quality Assurance Testing of completed work by software engineers to ensure requirements have been met Experience developing and implementing User Acceptance Testing to validate applications features with the clients Strong understanding of the principles of agile, scrum, SDLC, minimum viable product, and scope Strong background of experience using the suite of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or a similar project management tool Familiar with database design Programming skills are desirable, but not required. (SQL database MS Visual Studio .NET Framework C ASP.NET HTML JavaScript MVC framework Web Services andor Web API, Angular JS Team Foundation Server) Familiarity with State (South Dakota or others) titling, registrations, and license plate system are desirable, but not required. The successful candidate should have the following knowledge and experience for this position General knowledge of how business is conducted within the State of South Dakota. Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in systems design, interface development, and gathering business and systems requirements, or equivalent experience in computer science or information systems. Minimum of one year of experience in project management or as a leadsenior business analyst on large scale project(s) Ability to pass background security check (including fingerprinting) Writing examples of technical and systems requirements must accompany resume.
