    RESPONSIBILITIES.

    • Troubleshoot a broad range of residential and commercial plumbing problems concealed behind walls, in ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and underground.
    • Repair, replace, and install plumbing fixtures, plumbing systems, faucets, toilets, water heaters, water lines, gas lines, sinks, showers, bathtubs, sprinklers, sump pumps, and water purification systems using hand or power tools.  
    • Perform drain cleaning services for sewer lines, kitchen and laundry lines, toilets, bathtubs and showers, sinks, and storm drains.
    • Dig holes and trenches, cut sheetrock, stucco, and concrete to expose concealed leaks. 
    • Crawl under houses and in attic crawl spaces to inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing problems. 
    • Accurately prepare estimates and calculate cost for proposed work.
    • Routinely keep track of parts and supplies used on customer jobs and restock inventory on service vehicle.
    • May direct installers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
    • Research and order special parts for customer jobs; refer customer to outside vendors (i.e. water restoration and septic pumping services) when appropriate.
    • Test all complete work; collect payment and/or verifies customer billing information.
    • Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
    • May be required to work overtime
    • Pursue every job with drive and determination.
    • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.

    REQUIREMENTS.

    • 2 + years of experience in plumbing, which may be a combination of new construction, service and repair, light industrial, and commercial plumbing.
    • Active, valid Driver's license and clean DMV record. You must be insurable.
    • Knowledge of pipe threading equipment, electronic drain cleaning equipment, soldering techniques; installation, bending and sweating of copper pipe; installation of  PEX, Kitec, a.b.s. pipe,  p.v.c. pipe and Fernco connections.  
    • Knowledge of Uniform Building Code requirements and specific City and County Building Code requirements for Greater Sacramento and the surrounding area.
    • Proficient in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.)
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
    • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
    • Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers with diplomacy and tact.
    • Knowledge of the safe operation of manually operated hand tools and power driven hand tools and equipment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, and peers, both written and verbally
    • Computer proficiency
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and results driven environment. 
    • Ability to read, communicate, and understand the English language.
    • Ability to meet all company safety requirements.
