Job Description

• Draft various types of real estate contracts, steward property though a variety of land use issues, and maintain corporate governance. Analyze and summarize legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting alterations to those documents
• Negotiate with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes
• Perform due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements
• Preparation, negotiation and/or review of confidentiality agreements, proposal letters, and term sheets
• Negotiate and draft leases, financing agreements, purchase agreements and other legal real estate related documents.
• Draft corporate organizational documents including articles of incorporation, operating agreements and various resolutions.
• Oversee outside counsel with any litigation disputes and, where possible, negotiate appropriate resolutions to such disputes.
• Lead the legal due diligence team and transaction coordinating for acquisition activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a JD degree from an ABA- accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the California Bar
• 2+ years of Real Estate law experience.
• Demonstrates ability to work in partnership with internal departments and outside counsel to affectively resolve issues
• Strong understanding of the Real Estate industry and Real Estate matters.
