Seeking a candidate to fill the position of Radon Technician. This position's goal is to improve person and population health by delivering vital public health services in a variety of settings. Radon gas can only be identified by rigorous and expert testing. Identifies, recommends, and explains available and appropriate radon abatement methods, equipment, and installations. Estimates costs related to recommended installation and operation. Responsibilities: • Experience with the installation of radon mitigation systems, sprinkler system installations and ability to operate heavy equipment (Jackhammer) are a plus. C Typical projects involve: • The installation of radon mitigation systems • Connecting PVC pipes • Soil excavation • Environmental sampling • Clean-up This candidate may be responsible for a number of tasks, including: • Minor carpentry • Plumbing • Basic electrical • Demolition • Drywall • Finishing Qualifications: • Willing to do Radon testing certification • Experience with installation of radon mitigation systems, sprinkler system installations, and ability to operate heavy equipment (Jackhammer) is a plus • The candidate must be detail-oriented and able to effectively communicate with clients • Hours will vary depending on the needs at the job site and may involve working outdoors Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 yearly
