    JOB SUMMARY:

    NABA, Inc. is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for Black Business Leaders in accounting, finance business, and entrepreneurship. Representing more than 200,000 Black Business Leaders in these fields, NABA, Inc. advances people, careers, and the mission by providing education, resources, and meaningful career connections to its professional and student members.

    NABA, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy, summer intern who wants to use their talents and skills for the advancement of Black Business professionals. If you are motivated self-starter committed to social impact outcomes with a focus on relationship building and collaboration, join our team!

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    **** Project Management (60%)
    • Execute Project Plan for NABA Foundation
    • Assist in special projects for NABA Foundation (Eg research on Foundation best practices, policy, and procedures)
    • Assist in Foundation board meeting preparation **

    Team Collaboration and Communication (20%)**
    • Create internal and external communications plans for NABA Foundation
    • Partner to facilitate those plans
    • Create internal checklists and materials to support the work of the Foundation moving forward
    Draft and partner with the MaC team to develop comms strategy for the NABA Foundation **

    REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a preference for a degree in business or communications
    • Experienced and expressive writer and communicator
    • Ability to organize and synthesize ideas and concepts to build a brand
    • Attention to detail
    • Drive to overcome roadblocks and complete projects
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
    • A passion for working with people, an unshakable belief in their potential, and a strong commitment to the mission of NABA, Inc.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
    • Strong background in the thought leadership and implementation of security policies and procedures.
    • Experience with Higher Logic CMS Platform is preferred.
    • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with HTML and CSS. Familiarity with search engine optimization, accessibility standards, JavaScript, and Google Analytics.
    • Proficiency in membership database management and reporting.
    • Place focus on strong security practices
    • Willingness to remain current with quickly evolving technology best practices.

    Physical Requirements:**
    • Office/Remote working environment
    • One must possess the ability to communicate and exchange information as well as the ability to use a computer, related software programs.
    • One must possess the ability to transport up to 20 lbs. **

    EXPECTATIONS AND COMPENSATION:**
    • NABA operates from 9-5pm Monday through Friday and expects its interns to work between 20- 30 hours within these time frames
    • This role is expected 20- 30 hours per week July and August. Exact time frame to be determined post hire.
    • $15-$20 per hour depending on qualifications **
