Job Description
Our client, which is a Property Management company of residential buildings, is looking to bring on two (2) Payroll Coordinators that would be responsible for managing all payroll activities and ensure the timely and accurate payment of employee wages. The Payroll Coordinators will ensure the collection of all necessary information and documents, compute wages, and investigate and resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Responsible for building staff weekly payroll (Union 32BJ); 450 employees
· Computing wages, deductions, commissions, benefits, etc.
· Recording and maintaining employee records and payroll transactions
· Enter of new hires, employee changes voluntary deductions in the payroll system
· Prepare and process garnishments
· Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and any required adjustment to normal pay
· Process stop payments or adjustments of payroll
· Calculate bonuses as requested
· Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in accounting or any related field is a plus
· At least 2 years of high-volume payroll experience is required
· Knowledge of 32BJ union rules is preferred
· Knowledge of ADP Work Force Now is a plus
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems and database software
· Experience within Real Estate/Property Management is preferred
