    Chapter Administrator (Part-Time)

    NAMI San Joaquin County (SJC) is affiliated with NAMI National and NAMI CA. The non-profit organization is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals impacted by mental health conditions through support groups, educational programs, and advocacy. The Chapter Administrator is responsible for overseeing the effective day-to-day operations of the NAMI SJC Affiliate, assisting with achieving annual goals and objectives, and working collaboratively with the Board of Directors.

    Job Responsibilities

    Has the overall responsibility of overseeing NAMI programs, ensuring availability of resources and personnel to achieve its mission and goals.

    Oversee and communicate effectively with staff and volunteers.

    Oversees daily operations of NAMI SJC including equipment, the development of print and other materials relating to these programs, maintaining records, and program outcomes/data.

    Seeks and manages grants as well as the Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Contract. Responsible for developing other revenue sources and fundraising efforts to support the NAMI SJC mission. Oversees outreach activities and marketing efforts.

    Ensures compliance with agency by-laws and develops/updates policies and procedures with NAMI SJC Board approval.

    Along with the board president, acts as a spokesperson for the organization.

    Creates a supportive work environment that fosters respect, diversity, and teamwork.

    Attendance at BHS, NAMI SJC board,consortium, and other meetings as needed.

    Performs other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Associate of Arts Degree - mental health or social service a plus.

    Program coordination/development experience needed.

    Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

    Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking.

    Proficiency in use of technology.

    Demonstrates success in creating a supportive work environment.

    Knowledge or experience with mental illness and the impacts on family systems.

    Experience working with a nonprofit board, staff supervision, and volunteer management.

    Salary $27 an hour.

    Hours: 20 hours maximum per week.
