    JOB PURPOSE

    The RPA Testing & Support Analyst provides testing and post-go-live analysis and support to the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team.  This position will collaborate with the RPA development and support teams to ensure quality testing and releases are implemented as well as create innovative and forward-thinking post-go-live solutions to help ensure RPA processes are scheduled and run efficiently across all areas in National Grid.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Supervises the RPA Test environment to ensure virtual desktops and applications are configured and available as needed
    • Administers RPA Test environment (running processes, maintaining run-time resources, “bot” credentials) and engage team members or stakeholders where action is required
    • Logs and tracks defects; communicates to appropriate teams for resolution (in Test and Production environments)
    • Represents the RPA testing and support teams in meetings with RPA team, business owners, application managers, or other stakeholders
    • Assists or may lead in troubleshooting and triaging of process-related issues, including the review of process logs, input and output files, communications and/or other analysis to determine root cause of process disruption and potential mitigation efforts

     

    SUPERVISORY/INTERPERSONAL- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Good organizational and project management skills with experience of managing, analyzing and/or overseeing a diverse portfolio of activities.
    • Good communication skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required 
    • Previous experience with Robotic Process Automation and deep understanding of technology, architecture and design concepts preferred
    • Knowledge of Blue Prism RPA software extremely desirable
    • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and techniques related to networks and systems (i.e. remote access tools, Windows Support tools, connectivity tests) preferred
    • Ability to prioritize, schedule and complete tasks given changing priorities around process break/fix needs and/or general project changes.
    • Strong people and process skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively
    • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and design skills required
    • Excellent Microsoft suite knowledge; MS Excel, MS Access and other technical skills required 
    • Knowledge of Active Directory, network communications, and file system management desired
    • Knowledge of a scripting languages and proven experience with programming (VBA / HTML/ SQL) desired
