An exciting opportunity working for a growth-oriented solar IPP as a Project Finance Associate. Leveraging your renewable energy and finance background, you will be responsible to support financial analysis, origination and diligence of solar and storage project opportunities.

Southwestern CT, Northern NJ, Hingham, MA and greater Boston, MA Area
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze new solar project and battery storage development and acquisition opportunities, including the review of data rooms/project documents/financing documents
Assist in diligence and closing process for tax equity and debt financings
Coordinate with the asset manager to prepare and update project operating budgets and other required deliverables to financing counterparties
Construct project-specific pro forma financial models in order to assess economic profile; assist in drafting investment committee memos and monthly reports as needed
Update and maintain the company’s corporate financial model and provide necessary reporting and model assumptions to investors as needed
Collaborate with OMERS team to optimize returns and competitiveness, ensure consistent modeling and jointly secure attractive financing
Develop understanding of key determinants of and anticipated trends in energy and REC pricing in various markets
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, finance, or similar quantitative field from a top school; MBA a plus
Passionate about working in the solar industry
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently and independently in an entrepreneurial work environment where all employees wear multiple hats
Strong work ethic
3-5 years of project financing and tax equity experience at a developer, bank or private equity firm, with strong preference for at least 1-2 years of solar, energy storage, or wind experience.
Full understanding of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; ability to run complex financial proforma models, both project and corporate level
Outstanding communications skills, both oral and written
