    Job Description

    NBCU Boston (NBC 10 Boston, NBC Sports Boston, NECN & Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra) is seeking a Social Media Intern. The Social Media Intern will support station marketing strategies and initiatives across various digital platforms, including social media and YouTube.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in story selection and editing of social videos for NBC10 accounts

    • Collaborate with the Programming Department on social content for the Hub Today and community initiatives

    • Create daily YouTube thumbnails

    • Attend on-site events to capture photos and videos for social content

    • Brainstorm ideas to engage with followers and elevate marketing messages on all platforms

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • You must be in pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution
    • Current class standing of sophomore or above
    • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
    • Must be 18 years or greater
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United States without visa sponsorship by NBCU
    • Must be willing to work in Needham, MA

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in video editing with Adobe Premiere and design with Adobe Photoshop
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
    • Knowledge of social trends, sports and entertainment
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays
