Internship Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern to join our Audience Insights team. In this role, you’ll help analyze and aggregate performance data across all of our platforms—including broadcast, streaming, digital, and social—supporting our efforts to understand and grow our audience.
You’ll contribute to reporting and insights that power decision-making across newsrooms, sports divisions, entertainment programming, and Spanish-language content.
Key Responsibilities
Aggregate and organize audience performance data from multiple platforms including TV, digital, streaming, and social media
Track KPIs such as impressions, reach, engagement, video views, ratings, and demographic breakdowns
Assist in building dashboards and recurring reports to share performance metrics with internal teams
Support ad hoc analyses that inform content strategy, marketing, and product development
Clean and prepare raw data for reporting and analysis
Collaborate across teams—including sales, finance, editorial, marketing, programming, and digital product—to align on performance goals

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree in Data Analytics, Media Studies, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field at an Accredited Institution for the duration of the internship program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
Must be able to work on-site in Needham, MA
Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit.

Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfortable working with large and diverse data sets
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
