    Job Description

    Exciting opportunity to work within the Entertainment group of TV & Streaming! The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Cable portfolio Programming Finance team and will work across all Cable properties, including USA, Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, E!, & Universal Kids and Peacock. The Financial Analyst will work cross-functionally between Finance, Controllership, and Production Operations to provide traditional operational finance support related to, but not limited to Live Events, News current programming and unscripted development.  The position will report directly to the Senior Director of Programming Finance. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    DEVELOPMENT

    • Work closely with development executives in tracking and reporting of all Unscripted development projects.
    • Review development project term sheets and agreements for appropriate accounting and cash payments.
    • In coordination with legal and creative, ensure accurate and timely payment of development invoices.

    NEWS/LIVE EVENTS

    • Work closely with Live Events and News production teams in managing individual series/live event budget.
    • Provide financial support for News and Live Events programming inclusive of accurate cash and expense forecasting and tracking.
    • Review and approve Live Events invoices and p-card transactions.
    • Work closely with Production Operations to understand production timelines, cost reporting schedules, production cash flows and talent agreements.
    • Key contributor to the monthly/quarter closings working with Controllership in providing journal entry support and other finance schedules as needed.
    • Run periodic general ledger reports and perform reconciliation of monthly/quarterly actuals for each series/live event.

    FP&A & OTHER

    • Play a key role in supporting the ongoing process and system improvement and testing of programming content tracking and reporting system (COMPASS).
    • Perform ad hoc analyses as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business related field
    • Advanced user of excel
    • Media experience preferred, but not required
    • Internship experience in finance, preferred

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    HYBRID: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000
