Qualifications
** Qualifications:**
- Minimum 5 years as a video journalist / editor in a fast-paced news environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record
- Must adhere Environmental Health & Safety standards and regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds of equipment at a given time
- Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours at a time (in breaking news situations, may need to stand for longer periods of time – up to 8 hours)
- Must be able to operate live transmission equipment including microwave trucks and bonded cellular devices like Live U / Dejero
- Must be able to maneuver small spaces (in/out of vehicles and to be able to take camera shots in tight spaces)
- Must be able to sit for up to 2 hours at a time (i.e. for editing purposes)
- Must be willing to work all days/shifts
Desired Qualifications:
- Compelling storyteller with a knowledge and command of various camera types
- Ability to work creatively both independently and as a member of a team
- Proficient video editing skills under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with multiple camera types including but not limited to: Shoulder mount ENG, Handheld Camcorders, DSLR/Mirrorless, Go Pro Style Action Cam, Drone
- Strong editorial, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
- Knowledge and ability to operate communication tools and stay connected with the assignment constituencies (i.e. use of email software, cell phone, messaging tools, etc)
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

- Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice, and must be on-call to resolve issues
- This is a union position. Must be willing to become a member of the IBEW union.
- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
