    Job Description

    The Engineering Experience team at NBCU is defining and building a paved road of tools and systems to accelerate and optimize our software development practices. As a member of the source and continuous integration (CI) team, you will design and implement new source control automation, CI systems, and artifact management solutions. You will create documentation, and work to constantly improve the way we build and deploy software systems. As part of the larger Engineering Experience team, you will be a part of building world class systems to improve development workflows and productivity and help us create world class tools and experiences.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, experience, and training in Computer Science or a related field.
    • 3+ years' experience as part of a team building infrastructure or automation tools
    • Applied experience with multiple programming language
    • Practical knowledge and experience with infrastructure, tools, and workflow automation
    • Experience using public cloud to build and deploy infrastructure
    • Excellent communicator and relationship builder
    • Passion for DevOps culture, automation, and modern tooling
    • A strong passion for learning and improvement

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Strong understanding of modern continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc)
    • Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests required. Continuous delivery experience preferred.
    • Experience delivering software using an agile development process
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams
    • Ability to work and participate in a team with an open and collaborative style of communications
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team
