Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Broadcast Systems Engineer is a full‐time position within Engineering. The department is seeking a skilled Engineer to perform daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and support multiple daily live studio productions including quality control for incoming/outgoing ENG and truck game feeds. Responsible for problem solving of all equipment associated within a 24/7/365 television studio in the NY market.
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintenance of studio equipment, automated production control room systems, camera control systems, robotic cameras, remote ENG equipment, post‐production, video playback and archive solutions, non‐linear edit systems and IP distribution systems; assist in gathering system requirements, planning, designing, and implementing systems within our mission‐critical broadcast and enterprise IT environment of any new technologies at the studio, stadiums and remote facilities.
The role requires that you possess the necessary self‐discipline to take ownership and responsibility for delivering technical solutions considering both the business and technical needs of all employees and customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets our company needs. You will be part of a talented IT / Engineering department that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering internal customer‐oriented solutions, maintaining critical infrastructure, and ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance. The role will suit individuals who are excited by the opportunity to work with leading edge technologies at a high paced broadcast environment.
We are looking for “a hands on” accomplished broadcast systems engineer dedicated to help our business by supporting facility critical infrastructure and IT systems, projects and on new initiatives.
