Job Description
MSNBC Digital is hiring a newsletter producer to optimize and expand the organization’s newsletter portfolio.
As a member of MSNBC’s platforms team, the newsletter producer will be responsible for showcasing the network’s most topical content, ensuring that it serves existing newsletter subscribers and finds new audiences. This person will work closely with MSNBC’s editors, writers and hosts as they continue to shape MSNBC Digital.
The newsletter producer will support MSNBC’s flagship newsletter, MSNBC Daily, as well as Deadline: Legal, a newsletter covering the Supreme Court and legal analysis, and future projects.
This role requires strong writing and editing skills who is very organized and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across teams and juggling a multitude of communication channels and the large volume of comms that come with Slack, email and Teams meetings. Excellent communication skills are a must and familiarity with newsletter building tools such as Sailthru are strongly preferred.
The position is full time. Colleagues are primarily based in New York City but candidates from around the country will be considered. A minimum of two years’ experience working for a news organization is required.
