    Job Description

    NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users.

    The Sr Product Owner **** will report to the Director of Project Management for Workforce Solutions and will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and product life cycle through planning and execution across multiple stakeholders and teams within the enterprise. This position requires strong communication skills and ability to engage with clients at all levels, including senior-level executives across the enterprise. Must have a strong technical foundation and ability to quickly develop deep understanding of the strategic objectives.

    • Responsible for managing projects from conceptual stage to launch/execution that includes setting & establishing timelines, milestones, deliverables, budget, and reporting updates
    • Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product
    • Manage feature roadmap and prioritization of capabilities and features of a product
    • Be a strategic partner and work with business stakeholders to define high-impact analytical problems and find innovative ways to solve problems with data
    • Break down functional and non-functional requirements into user stories, and present them to the team in planning sessions
    • Facilitate sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings with product and engineering teams to increase creativity while improving efficiency, based on the priorities on our product roadmap
    • Develop testing, validation, and approval process for systems that involve all data-driven lifecycle components
    • Responsible for overall tracking, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, planning and reporting, and acting as a liaison between teams to ensure proper coordination
    • Provides technical expertise and identifies solutions to help resolve issues
    • Works closely with operational partners and manages stakeholder communications regarding change management, expectations, risks, and escalations across all levels of the organization

    • B.S./B.A. degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum 5 years of project/ product management experience in large scale media environment; or an equivalent combination of education & experience
    • Experience with Agile methodology
    • Experience working with Jira, writing detailed user stories and supporting acceptance criteria
    • Excellent organization and communication skills, as well as strong and consistent attention to detail
    • Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate and influence team members from global teams with diverse backgrounds, business objectives, and time zone constraints
    • Adaptable performer who can lead effectively under pressure and through significant change
    • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet

    Additional Requirements:

    This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
