    Job Description

    The Entertainment Marketing team in our TV & Streaming Group is looking for an Associate Editor for the Daily Dish on bravotv.com.

    BravoTV.com is the number one destination for news from the Bravo universe, including cast member updates, features and new programming developments. In this role, you’ll be creating digital content around Bravo shows and talent (from Real Housewives to Below Deck and everything in between) for The Daily Dish, reporting on our Bravolebs’ lives and their shows.

    Reporting to the Senior Editor, you’ll be a strong, quick, detail-oriented writer with great news judgment. You’ll also have a sharp eye for identifying compelling news stories in the Bravo and celebrity spaces. Additionally, you’ll have a solid instinct for writing clean, publish-ready copy, as well as buzzy headlines/angles. 

    You'll be expected to use your editorial instincts with discretion, good judgment, and data to help guide your day-to-day decision making. You’ll be well-versed in editorial analytics platforms such as Parse.ly and Adobe Analytics and understand how to synthesize data to make smart content decisions. You’ll be expected to craft compelling content that speaks to Bravo fans and drives awareness to our linear programming, digital platforms, and other business priorities.

    The ideal candidate is passionate about the Bravo brand with a deep understanding of The Daily Dish’s newsy and cheeky tone. Experience in and a passion for celebrity news is a must, with the ability to work independently.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:  •    Identifying news stories around Bravo shows and talent, based on in-show moments, breaking news, social media, original interviews, etc. •    Executing 3-5 daily news stories and longform features as needed.  •    Crafting catchy social copy and effective SEO headlines to promote all written content •    Coordinating relevant media with Photo and Video teams, including selecting the best images to tell the story •    Staying up to date on all the happenings in the Bravo universe  •    Covering events and conducting interviews as needed; working after hours and weekends on occasion  •    Using analytics to help inform future content ideas and angles  

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    •    Bachelor's degree or higher from an Accredited College or University, preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related subject area •    4+ years writing experience in entertainment/celebrity content •    Experience working with established outlets, especially in a fast-paced digital news setting under deadline pressure •    A proven track record of strong news judgment, fact checking, and accuracy with the ability to craft concise, clickable headlines •    Experience reporting, interviewing, and working directly with talent and publicists, with the ability to craft engaging questions that speak to fans  •    Working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) and YouTube •    Working knowledge of SEO tactics and best practices •    A highly organized fast worker with a meticulous eye for detail •    Demonstrated ability to juggle simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines while working autonomously  •    Superior oral and written communication skills in English

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS •    Experience publishing with a CMS •    Experience using data analysis systems (Parse.ly, Chartbeat, DOMO, Adobe), Drupal Content Management System, and Facebook Business Manager is helpful  •    A detailed knowledge of and passion for the Bravo universe is a huge plus
