    Job Description

    Role:

    Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with our Operations Excellence Framework and business objectives. Primary focus will be identifying training needs, designing, implementing, and assessing training processes and programs while assessing their impact on employee performance and business results.

    Collaborate with various departments to ensure employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the company.

    Position will play a vital role in driving employee growth and ensuring the achievement of our business goals.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities will include enhancing employee skills, improving performance capabilities, increasing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization. Specifically, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

    • Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with Mill Superintendents

    • Develop an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations.

    • Deploy a wide variety of training methods as needed, to deliver results.

    • Conduct effective introducing and orientation sessions.

    • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success, and Return On Investment (ROI) periodically and report on them.

    • Manage training budget.

    • Provide opportunities for ongoing development.

    • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.

    • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.

    • Ensure alignment with our Pixelle Continuous Improvement Mill Improvement Process (MIP) objective.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven work experience, 3-5 years, as a Training Manager, in an industrial environment.
    • Demonstrated track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
    • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, artificial intelligence (AI), workshops, simulations etc.)
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
    • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals or other types of media.
    • Excellent computer Microsoft office and technology skills, including industry-specific content delivery system such as, but not limited to, software designed specifically for content development and delivery.
    • BS degree in education, human resources, or related field.
    • 3-5 years’ experience manufacturing/industrial environment.
    • Pulp & Paper manufacturing experience preferred, not required.
    • Bi-lingual a must (English/Spanish).
