RESPONSIBILITIES:

CNBC is looking for an experienced Video Editor to join its growing digital video team. We’re seeking a brilliant storyteller and self-motivated video editor who has a passion for storytelling, journalism and digital content creation. This person has a digital-first mind, and understands how to tell an editorially sound, compelling and beautiful story. The ideal candidate should love to experiment and reinvent in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Edit a wide variety of digital video content focusing on millennials and Gen Z, personal finance and other topics on brand for CNBC Make It, from short social clips to longer features
• Collaborate with the production, editorial and motion graphics teams in the daily creation of video content
• Develop new editing formats, styles and workflows
• Keep tabs on current digital video and social trends around the industry and apply them in the work that you do
• Maintain proficiency with emerging edit software and workflows
• Be responsible for reliable sound mix, color correction and media management for your own work

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS :

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a video editor in a digital production environment
• Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite
• Proven news judgment and high ethical standards
• Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced news environment
