Freelance Olympic and Paralympic Researcher -NBC Sports
Job Description
The Olympic and Paralympic researcher will become an expert on all things related to the Games, including the athlete backstories, rules and competition outlook in each event. You will be relied upon to develop, compile and circulate information about the Olympic and Paralympics sports and athletes to support various teams in preparation for NBC’s coverage of the Games. Researchers travel to domestic and international competitions to learn about Olympic and Paralympics sports and provide up-to-date information to help inform editorial decisions. During the Games, you will work closely with talent and announcers and provide accurate, on-the-spot research during broadcasts. This role is for passionate Olympic and Paralympics fans with exceptional writing skills and attention to detail who want to play a key role in our storytelling process.
Please note: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 15 to 33 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
