    Job Description

    Division Profile:

    NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBC Universal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe, its revenue portfolio exceeding $5Bn per year.  This includes a rich library of more than 4,200 feature films and 110,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world. NBCUniversal Global Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.

    Overview:

    This Vice President position is based in Universal City, CA and reports to the Global TV Distribution Senior Vice President of Technology.  The purpose of this position is to ensure TVD’s ever-changing business is fully supported by TVD’s Salesforce-based Opportunity Management platform via design and implementation of efficient business processes across the various global groups within TVD.   Essential Responsibilities:

    • Develop and enhance Salesforce platforms and related technology requirements.
    • Communicate with all levels of business users to gain an in depth understanding of TVD’s ongoing business needs on a global level.
    • Liaise with the Information Technology (IT) teams to ensure TVD’s business needs are achieved.
    • Work closely with senior TVD management and IT groups to establish priorities and setting these priorities in motion.  Must have strategic insight to our business needs and be flexible to reestablish priorities as the business requires.
    • Work closely with the various TVD groups to set strategic goals and business needs, then lay it out in an operational plan for senior management and Finance.
    • Liaise with non-TVD business units to promote the exchange of data beneficial to TVD.  Must be able to work across multiple businesses and assess how data and system functionality can be accessible and useful.
    • Monitor and report system issues to our various IT teams to resolve issues. This position is responsible for understanding and advocating for user’s requests for updates and enhancements; and working with IT to address in the most efficient and expeditious manner.
    • At the request of senior management throughout the organization, produce ad-hoc reports from various systems to support internal and external reporting requirements.
    • Train users in the proper usage of our various systems.
    • Develop staff and managers to help achieve career goals.
    • Any additional duties as directed by management

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • BA or equivalent Degree.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar or related fields.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Familiarity with Salesforce platforms, including Salescloud or Mediacloud.
    • Familiarity with intellectual property rights management and digital asset management.
    • Ability to understand and articulate complex business processes.
    • Ability to create detailed business requirement specifications and user manuals.
    • Knowledge of the system development life cycle or other system development methodologies.
    • Working knowledge in a relational database management tools.
     
    

    HYBRID: THIS POSITION HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AS HYBRID, GENERALLY CONTRIBUTING FROM THE OFFICE A MINIMUM OF THREE DAYS PER WEEK.
