    Job Description

    The Project Manager will work within the Creative Information Services team to schedule and track client projects related to the applications used by Universal Creative to design and build attractions throughout Universal’s theme parks. Responsibilities include coordination and completion of projects within scope, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and preparing status updates on the progress of the project to the Senior Management team. The project manager will coordinate with all user groups to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible.

    Additionally, the Project Manager must be a good communicator, present information with a sensible style, be well organized, work well in a team environment, adjust to change quickly, and be able to facilitate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Create project charters, define scope, project timelines, budgets and define deliverables
    • Identify project tasks, assign resources, manage timelines, status projects, and create and present project tracking reports for team/executive management
    • Facilitate the Change Approval Board process
    • Manage the applications change release
    • Coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of projects
    • Develop detailed Project plans to track progress
    • Manage changes to scope and schedule with internal and external parties
    • Resolve project, design, or resource issues before they cause schedule delays
    • Keep stakeholders up-to-date on project status and potential issues
    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
    • Manage the relationship with clients and all stakeholders
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Demonstrates sense of urgency, initiative, responsiveness
    • Develop solutions using substantial creativity, resourcefulness, innovation, negotiation, and diplomacy, as appropriate
    • Able to adjust Project Management strategy based on the type of project

    • BA/BS degree required in related or similar management field
    • PMP Certification is a plus
    • Minimum three (3) years related experience
    • AGILE/SCRUM certification or significant experience in an agile scrum environment
    • Understanding of software development project lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment
    • Strong written and oral communication/presentation skills
    • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, time-management and organizational skills
    • Successful track record in working with business and technology teams to develop, test and launch products
    • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, to interact professionally with all levels of staff, multi-task and meet deadlines for concurrent projects
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
    • Basic knowledge of software technologies, including databases, SQL is a plus

    Desired Characteristics

    • Experience with leading information gathering and brainstorming sessions for business requirements definition. Preference in experience in lean process improvement design
    • Knowledge of Business Process Mapping, Requirements Gathering, Project LCM
    • Good presentation, analytical, organizational, time management, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills
    • Ability to think creatively and develop solutions beyond the boundaries of existing practices and client mindsets
    • Effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters
