ABOUT THE ROLE: You’ll serve as a key member of our Privacy Platforms team, with the opportunity to branch out into other core teams affecting a large swath of NBCU’s interests. You will collaborate on the design and implementation of testing and system integration for our DSAR, CMP and PIA privacy features. Your technical expertise will be useful in setting processes, development, and procedures for ensuring the quality of NBCU applications throughout the development life cycle. Regular responsibilities include:

    • Coordinating testing and integration for NBCU’s SaaS providers as well as our internal API management solution
    • Collaboration with internal colleagues and external contractors to rapidly develop solutions to support some of the world’s biggest media platforms
    • Providing subject matter expertise and advisement on best practices for setting up test automation across the Enterprise Applications Engineering & Architecture organization
    • Fostering a culture of support and partnership across NBCU’s entire internal engineering team

    REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years in an SDET or Automation role • Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field -OR- equivalent experience • Deep understanding of APIs and abstraction to support multiple endpoints • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to problem-solve on the fly • Experience setting up frameworks and tools supporting automated testing and endpoint validation • Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment. • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols in select work settings or where jurisdictionally mandated. • Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols. Desired Characteristics PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with automated E2E testing as a part of an automated build/deploy process • Knowledge of standards and best practices for testing toolchains • Experience developing test harnesses for external APIs • Prior software development experience outside of test automation • CI/CD familiarity • Production monitoring experience • Prior experience working with remote distributed teams
