  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reports to the Director of Community and Communications for NBC10, Telemundo62 and NBC Sports Philadelphia
    • Support community tentpole initiatives, including Project Innovation, Clear the Shelters, Supporting Our Schools, and Bundle Up
    • Write, edit and/or translate press releases, statements, and media advisories
    • Coordinate external requests for staff/talent appearances, charitable donations, and community sponsorships
    • Monitor and manage clips of earned media coverage, FCC reporting and station activity reports
    • Develop and update media lists for local, regional and trade press and distribute press releases
    • Assist in writing and updating talent bios and posting articles to the Community pages of the stations’ websites
    • Manage merchandise for talent and marketing initiatives
    • Assist with station community initiatives and events, including planning and onsite activation
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Associate degree from a fully accredited college or university in Communications, Public Relations, or related field of study
    • Bilingual with strong oral and written communications skills in English and Spanish preferred
    • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and longer event hours as needed
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
    • Knowledge of Cision and WordPress is a plus
    • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
    • Ability to regularly lift to 30-lbs unassisted
