    Job Description

    NBCUniversal is looking for a Sustainability Coordinator! In this role, you will work closely with our Enterprise Sustainability leadership and their teams in the areas of Sustainability Strategy, Data Solutions, and Production & Content. You will work with a wide range of internal, corporate, Production and external stakeholders (including Destinations & Experiences, Operations & Technology, and Comcast).

    What You’ll Do

    Own the Sustainability department calendar and meeting cadence with our partners

    • Work with our team internally to manage meeting invitations, correspondence and follow-ups with our teams and stakeholders
    • Keep track of deadlines and department priorities, including sending reminders to teams

    Orchestrate the day-to-day workflow for the Sustainability department

    • Run the Sustainability department weekly meeting by creating agendas, collecting updates, and organizing content
    • Collaborate with the Sustainability Directors to help drive project tasks, including job task prioritization, streamlining project tracks, collecting status updates, formatting presentations for project updates, quality checking data sets and sharing news of team wins
    • Coordinate all aspects of department expenses and track against plans
    • Facilitate delivery of project work through effective vendor onboarding for our sites

    Employee Engagement Support

    • Coordinate environmental events such as Earth Month activities
    • Help manage Employee Green Teams

    Support Sustainability Communications

    • Run the Sustainability News Round-up and collect relevant news and updates monthly in preparation for our GreenIsUniversal monthly news distribution
    • Share the latest goings-on across our department and keep our teams in the know
    • Assist with formatting & proofing of sustainability documents & comms, including flyers, signs, etc.

    • Master of calendars, coordination, and tracking. The Sustainability team is in demand and bringing efficiency to when and how we connect with a large enterprise is essential
    • Self-starter – You are motivated, can work with minimal guidance, and can identify helpful resources to get the job done
    • Environmental champion - passionate about combating climate change and purpose-driven to embed sustainability in a large enterprise
    • Impeccable attention to detail – You bring customer requests to life by organizing the team’s daily work plans and scheduling commitments
    • Tech-savvy – You are an MS Office whiz and can take on analytics and data auditing with ease
    • Motivated by a fast-paced corporate Sustainability environment

    What You Must Have…

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences/Studies, Sustainability, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years of related work experience with demonstrated success
    • 2+ years of experience in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

    What Would Make You a Stand-out:

    • Master’s Degree in Sustainability, Management, or relevant program
    • Familiarity with film/TV, theme parks, broadcast, data centers, or studio business segments
    • Experience in Sustainability employee engagement or communications
    • Familiarity with design software, such as Canva, to create flyers & signage
    • Experience working within a lean but focused internal organization that relies on efficiency, and setting and meeting expectations with each other to drive progress and delivery results
    • Experience communicating with people at all levels, both written and verbal, creating scheduling efficiency, team cohesion, organization of the team initiatives and sharing the work of the team with others

    Additional Requirements:

    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
