    Job Description

    What are we looking for?

    This is a hands-on role and will need someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.

    Job Duties:

    • Collaborate cross functionally to develop manufacturing strategies for automating the molding, assembly and inspection of our plastic injection molding products
    • Project management (APQP) to ensure successful introduction of new product/process launches within timing and cost targets
    • Maintain and improve automation capability
    • Participate in productivity and continuous improvement
    • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders as a manufacturing representative of assigned projects by preparing formal reports and recommendations as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    Required:

    • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
    • 6+ experience performing automation projects

    Preferred :

    • Hands on experience with plastic injection molding and assembly

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Able to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
    • Experience with PLC Logic and camera vision systems such as Allen Bradley/Cognex
    • Experience with robots programming (Fanuc, Wittmann, etc)
    • Experience with pneumatic and electric actuators
    • Able to analyze, troubleshoot and recommend improvements in the manufacturing process
    • Experience in true root cause problem solving skills including tools such as: 5 Why’s and 6M’s
    • Ability to operate in a team environment and have strong communication skills

    Preferred:

    • Experience with CAD software (Solidworks or similar)
    • Ability to use milling machine to make parts as needed
    • Significant experience with PLC Logic and camera vision systems
    • Experience with wiring and troubleshooting of electrical controls
    • Automotive industry experience
