    Overview

    Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) is comprised of both digital and physical distribution businesses, overseeing the sales and operations for digital transactional film and television content including PVOD, PEST, EST and VOD for Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Illumination, DreamWorks Animation, and independent studios, as well as physical DVD and Blu-Ray product sales in multiple international markets.

    Responsibilities & Job Purpose

    The Manager of Digital Marketing – Media manages paid media campaigns that stimulate consumer awareness, increase purchase intent and, ultimately, deliver sales for Universal’s various movies released in the home entertainment window including Blu-ray, DVD, electronic sell through, and on-demand formats.

    The Manager will be responsible for 25+ annual campaigns that stretch across all aspects of digital media, including display, search, mobile, social, programmatic, and more. In addition, this individual will help guide the associated ad creative and digital media research.

    Media Plan Development & Execution:

    • Extensive experience and proficiency in paid media coupled with a strong understanding of performance media, social, and programmatic buying.
    • Broad understanding of media measurement and reporting to help set objectives, identify optimizations, and communicate performance to key stakeholders.
    • Significant experience in how to plan and run paid media with differing objectives across the marketing funnel: brand awareness and consideration and performance.
    • Track record of building paid media plans that drive awareness and consideration, and the ability to clearly, simply articulating the ROI.
    • Responsible for the strategy, execution, performance and reporting of the Display and Paid social campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Google’s Ad platforms, Amazon AAP and AMS, etc.).
    • Experience and confidence working within a matrixed organization, building strong relationships, and driving appreciative alignment across departments.
    • Strong background in media agency management and collaborating to deliver against brand objectives. Develop strong working relationships with all agencies, internal departments, international counterparts, publishers, customers, external clients, and third-party vendors.
    • Excellent project management oversight abilities; can drive forward projects and initiatives in ambiguous and changing environments against tight timelines.
    • Establish, track, and assure adherence to budgets, launch schedules, campaign and marketing objectives.

    Digital Ad Creative Development:

    • Work closely with the Creative department to guide design of eye-catching digital ad creative that engages, excites, and drives action.
    • Strengthen campaign’s overall creative vision and reinforce marketing objectives.
    • Integrate interactive and social elements to take full advantage of the digital medium.

    Budgets and Billing:

    • Support with managing department budgets, purchase orders and handling vendor invoices.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Marketing, Mathematics or Economics a plus.
    • 3-4+ years of digital media experience - client and/or agency side.

    • Solid understanding, interest, and experience with digital media, movies, television and the convergence of entertainment and technology.
    • Experience with Mobile and Video advertising in Paid Social and Display.
    • Current knowledge of web/marketing tagging methodologies, tracking, DMPs and programmatic platforms.
    • Experience designing and measuring media- and audience-based tests in a variety of channels.
    • Daily optimization and management of campaigns within individual DSPs and Platforms.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written) and analytical skills.
