Job Description

Summer 2024 Internship Program:

• Program Dates: June 3 – August 9, 2024
• Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
• Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Englewood Cliffs, NJ 3-5 days per week.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

• Operations & Technology, CNBC Media Content Center: The Media Content Center manages the lifecycle of content from ingest through archive. Our intern will get high level training in three unit and focus on video production. Through the interaction, they will network with various other editorial and digital teams. They will also learn how to work in a corporate professional environment and develop general career skills. Some responsibilities include: creating edit decision lists, creating and sending content to digital platforms, and learning to cut sound for air.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Desired Characteristics:

• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Good understanding of Microsoft office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Interest and experience in video production.
• Experience with video editing.

The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $20.00
