    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    As a software engineer working on our systems and services, you will work with a talented team of professional engineers to deliver projects and systems critical to Fandango and Sports Next businesses. We expect our engineers to be versatile, collaborative, and enthusiastic about taking on new problems across our businesses as we continue to build great experiences for our customers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain back end software and services in accordance with established SDLC practices for applications/APIs written in C#/node.js
    • Perform code reviews and collaborate with peers on software solutions
    • Interact with Product Managers and Quality Engineers to deliver high quality, high profile software and user experiences
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, retros, sprint planning, etc.)
    • Assist in troubleshooting exercises
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
    • A strong understanding of software development practices and principles
    • Practical experience in one or more of the following programming languages
      • JavaScript/Node
      • C#/.NET
      • Java
    • Experience working and coding with relational databases
    • Familiarity with version control systems (Git or similar)
    • Working knowledge of common networking, infrastructure, and technical security fundamentals

    Preferred / Useful Qualifications:

    • Professional experience as a software engineer working in a back end or full-stack capacity
    • Experience developing consumer-facing software
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
    • Experience with a variety of data stores: Document databases, columnar data stores, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc.
    • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar)
    • Familiarity with software build, release, deployment, and monitoring tools and practices
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and/or service-oriented architectures
