    Job Description

    The position will assist in pre-sale, execution & post-sale efforts for NBCUniversal’s Olympic Sales Marketing Group. S/he must have the ability to build and maintain tracking documents with attention to detail.  The position will interface with internal constituencies (marketing, sales, management, research, production, and legal) in order to secure requisite input/approvals for business opportunities. Individual must also have the ability to interface with external customers (advertisers, agencies) and translate the needs of the target brand into executable programs that generate revenue for NBC Universal.   S/he will be responsible for the management/upkeep of various tracking documents as it relates to NBC’s advertising clients for the Olympics. The position will be tasked with creating and updating daily asset documents, categorical logs, and more.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Assist in account management of Olympic Ad Sales Marketing
    • Day to day management of athlete tracker for all Olympics clients
    • Clip & log various sales elements
    • Create PowerPoint slides that illustrate sales positioning to marketplace
    • Keep diligent notes on client needs in-Games
    • Proactively identify client campaign trends and sponsorable opportunities that align with NBCU’s Olympics portfolio
    • Analyze television & digital logs
    • Interface with sales personnel to translate client requests into actionable tasks
    • Report back to Olympic advertisers showcasing how the Olympics helped drive key KPI’s

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 3-5 years’ experience in marketing or sales
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to solve problems and work proactively
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. and presentation proficiencies
    • Strong experience in Microsoft PowerPoint, preference in building external-facing decks
    • Strong interest in sports preferred

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong organizational skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to analyze research metrics and translate into sales storylines
    • Presentation skills, including public speaking, business writing and presentation development
    • Understanding of the sponsorship development process
    • Familiarity with the development and execution of 360 marketing programs
    • Understanding of the promotion development and execution process and experience executing promotions
    • Strong interpersonal skills - with internal and external clients
    • Knowledge of media marketing, the sales process and media in general

    SALARY RANGE: $65,000-$70,000
